First meeting for "Iowa 2010" Project to be held

October 11, 1999 By admin

The first of 15 town meetings to collect Iowans’ ideas about the state’s future will be staged tonight in Mason City. The “Iowa 2010” stategic planning project was launched by Governor Vilsack, who will be on hand for tonight’s meeting. Issues can range from the elderly to the environment and from highways to the homeless. Colonel Robert King of the Iowa National Guard has been helping with logistics. If you can’t make it to any of the 15 meetings, King says there are other ways you can contribute your two-cents worth. People can call toll-free: 800-342-2010 or visit the website at “iowa2010.state.ia.us”
