One killed in bus accident

November 13, 1999 By admin

An East Marshall schoolbus returning from a volleyball tournament was struck by a car early Friday morning in Tama County. The accident killed the driver of the car and injured four passengers on the bus. The driver of the vehicle, Terry Paul Eurom, 38, of Marshalltown, died instantly. Three students on the bus and the bus driver were treated and released at a Marshalltown hospital. East Marshall Superintendant Doyle Scott says the students involved, as well as the whole district, were shaken up after the incident.Authorities are investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the crash. Beer cans were found at the scene of the accident.
