Iowa faces potential national record holder

November 15, 1999 By admin

The Iowa Hawkeyes are on the road in the Big Ten to play what should be a motivated Wisconsin team. Running back Ron Dayne needs 99-yards to become the all-time leading rusher in division-one and with a victory the Badgers would clinch at least a share of the Big Ten title.Iowa Coach Kirk Ferentz says stopping Dayne is difficult becasue the Badgers have a number of weapons.Ferentz says while Dayne and the Badger offense have received most of the attention, the defense has been a big part of their success.
