John Deere recalls Waterloo workers

More than half of the workers laid off a year and a half ago at the John Deere Waterloo foundry have been called back to work. United Autoworkers Local 838 shop chairman Dennis Kinard says 141 workers were laid off. He says 94 have received recall notices.He says it’s great news for the workers.Kinard says he hasn’t heard if Deere will call back any more workers in the future.Scott Fenzloff, KCNZ, Cedar Falls
