Iowa set to start spring drills

Iowa football coach Kirk Ferentz says the Hawkeyes are anxious to get spring practice underway. The Hawkeyes suffered through a 1-10 campaign last fall and Ferentz says everyone is focused on making major improvement.Ferentz says much of the improvement made by teams occurs during the off season. He says you don’t play the game in off-season workouts, but it should pay off in the near future.Ferentz is moving three players to the defensive line in hopes of shoring up that area. Among those moving is middle linebacker Aaron Kampman, who will move to defensive end. Kampman was the leading tackler last year.Iowa’s spring game is April 15th.
