Iowa Conference softball race heats up

As the final week of the Iowa Conference softball race begins four teams still remain in the hunt for the title. Coe College tops the standings at 15-1. Simpson is 12-2 and visits 11-3 Wartburg tomorrow. Simpson coach Henry Christowski says his team will need a big week.Christowski says Wartburg is playing its best right now and are quite competative.The conference champ will get an automatic bid to the N-C-A-A division three regionals. Christowksi says under a new format this year he is not sure if any other league team will get an at-large bid.Central is third in the league race with a 13-3 record.
