Iowan dies in Minnesota snowmobile accident

March 26, 2001 By admin

An Iowa man died in a weekend snowmobile accident in Minnesota. 35-year-old John Schuck of Keosauqua is believed to have drowned after his snowmobile plunged into the Mississippi River on Saturday in Aitkin County, Minnesota. A search and rescue team diver got tangled in debris while searching for the body. Officials say with the high current and ice, it’s too dangerous to continue the search. The victim’s family agrees that no one else should get hurt or killed.
