Manchester man faces charges after wrecking cars

A rural Manchester man faces numerous charges in two counties after he allegedly stole three vehicles, damaging two of them. Jed Batterson reports.Officials discovered a vehicle slammed into a guardrail on highway 30. The driver, 30-year old Bart Johnston took off on foot into the city of Manchester, stealing another pick-up. Johnston drove the pickup into Linn County, wrecking the second vehicle, and stealing yet a third. He was later apprehended by Linn County authorities. Johnston is being charged with two counts of theft and an OWI.
