Teen drowns in Worth County

A drowning reported in north central Iowa overnight.The Worth County sheriff’s department says a call last night reported young people with innertubes stuck up against the Fertile dam on the Winnebago River. Squads from Fertile and Hamlintown pulled one teen from the river and did C-P-R, but 17-year-old Anthony James Abrahamson was pronounced dead at a Mason City hospital about 10:30 last night.
