Wartburg softball team looks for another title

The Wartburg College softball team will be in search of a second straight Iowa Conference championship this spring. The Knights have a large nucleus back from last year’s team and coach Randy Schneider says an 11-2 start is what he was hoping for as they looked to concentrate early on defense and pitching.Wartburg has a talented and deep pitching staff back from last year’s team and Schneider has been happy with the progress.Schneider says the Iowa Conference race will be a battle. He says Central is playing well again, as is Simpson and Coe.Schneider says the schedule demands a good start for his team to stay in the race.
