Iowa Conference baseball race looks to be close

April 4, 2002 By admin

The Iowa Conference baseball race opens today as several teams look to break Wartburg’s stranglehold on the title. Simpson visits Luther this afternoon and coach John Siriani expects an interesting race. He says the conference is becoming much stronger top to bottom after having just a few teams that’re very good. Siriani says a number of programs have made tremendous strides in recent years. He says Coe, Cornell and B-V have all been playing well this year.
