Dentist say bottled water doesn’t provide the needed flouride

The dental director for Iowa’s largest provider of dental insurance is sounding the alarm about bottled water. Surveys show Americans are drinking over two servings of bottled water every day, and Dr. Edward Schooley says that bottled water lacks a key ingredient.There’s no fluoride in bottled water, and Dr. Schooley says that’s a concern as fluoride makes teeth strong and is crucial for kids with developing teeth. Without fluoride, Schooley worries kids will be more susceptible to cavities.Schooley works for Delta Dental Plans of Iowa.
