Oelwein woman accused of making phony money

Oelwein police have arrested a local woman in connection with the passing of some funny money. Police arrested 34-year-old Lea Schake of Oelwein on 13 counts of forgery. and possession of methamphetamine. Schake’s accused of passing fake bills at businesses in Oelwein and Independence. Police say more charges are pending.
