Black Hawks ready for USHL semifinal

April 11, 2003 By admin

After winning their first playoff series in 16-years the Waterloo Blackhawks open their U-S Hockey League semifinal round series at home tonight against River City. Waterloo advanced by beating Des Moines in four games in the first round. Waterloo coach P.K. O’Handley says it’s a great acoomplishment for the organization. The Blackhawks finished 6-0 against the Lancers during the regular season but O’Handley is not sure that is an advantage heading into the series. He says they should have confidence, but he says it’s tough to keep beeting a team over and over.
