Vilsack repeats pledge to not run again for Governor

April 19, 2003 By admin

Governor Vilsack has repeatedly said he won’t seek a third term as Governor. But as for his other aspirations, the former state Senator and Mount Pleasant Mayor is mum. Vilsack says on a recent trade trip to Germany, he stopped in London on the way back to see his son, Jess. The two attended a trial in the “Queen’s Court” and Vilsack told his son that if those were the best attorneys in Great Britain, the two of them “could make a lot of money” over there as barristers.Vilsack says the practice of law looks very appealing on certain days. After graduating from law school, Vilsack practiced law in Mount Pleasant with his father-in-law.
