Court documents reveal more about fired trooper

April 14, 2005 By admin

We know a little more today about that Iowa State Trooper accused of abusing a young girl more than a decade ago. 39-year-old Karl Ronald Kluender of Huxley was fired Tuesday and charged with second-degree sexual abuse. The arrest came after Kluender’s 18-year-old niece told authorities in late February about an alleged incident sometime between January 1992 and December 1994. Court documents show the girl says Kluender took his niece for a car ride and took her to his parents’ apartment in Denison, where the alleged abuse occurred. Kluender’s attorney indicates his client intends to plea not guilty to the charge. Kluender made an initial appearance before a Crawford County judge (Tuesday night) and was released after posting 32-thousand dollars bond.
