ISU ready for Spring game Saturday

Iowa State will have a spring game in Jack Trice Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Coach Dan McCarney will divide his staff for the game. Graduate assistants Bo Beck and Sean Coughlin will serve as the head coaches. Beck will have the 1’s and 4’s while Coughlin with have the 2’s and 3’s and a 21-point lead to start the game. More than a dozen starters are back from last year and McCarney says much of this spring has been focused on building depth. He says there are number of backups that he says they’ll sit down next week and tell them how they did.McCarney has several goals for the spring game, a good hard hitting game in which he says he’d like to see the top team come from behind and win.
