North Mahaska faces HLV looking to run

October 7, 2005 By admin

In class A, third-rated North Mahaska visits HLV in a battle of unbeatens in district five. North Mahaska running back Levi Ferguson continues to set new records virtually every week but Warhawks coach Steve Ehret says Ferguson’s value goes beyond yardage and touchdowns, as he also can block and when he moves it sets up other plays. Ehret says the offense will get a severe test this evening, as he says HLV has the best defense in the district. HLV coach Kevin Smith says the Warriors have been looking forward to this game for a long time. Smith says while Ferguson is a standout North Mahaska has other weapons and has an experienced line that helps out the offense.
