Colorado coach expects tough game from I-S-U

November 11, 2005 By admin

Colorado coach Gary Barnett says if the Buffaloes lock up the Big 12 North championship this weekend they will have earned it. Colorado visits an Iowa State team that is 6-3 and riding a three game winning streak. He says they have to play an Iowa State team that’s on a roll and is playing at home with a lot of things on the line.

Barnett says one of the biggest reasons for I-S-U’s current win streak is a healthy Stevie Hicks at running back. He says Hicks gives the Cyclones all their weapons and they’re playing their best football right now.

Cyclone coach Dan McCarney says both teams are riding momentum as there are only three teams on three-game winning streaks, including Colorado and Oklahoma, and he says Texas hasn’t lost since the season started.
Colorado is 7-2.
