Mason City woman charged with arson in apartment fire

April 23, 2014 By Radio Iowa Contributor

Mason City authorities confirm the arrest of a woman on an arson charge after an apartment fire Monday night. The Mason City Fire and Police Departments were called to a house fire shortly before 7:50 P.M.

No one was inside an apartment where the fire started, but there were occupants in the other apartments in the building. Nobody was injured. Thirty-two-year-old Jacque Paulsen, who did not reside in the building, has been charged with first-degree arson. She was taken to the Cerro Gordo County Jail where she’s being held on $25,000 bond.
