A Dallas, Texas company that makes processed meat products for restaurants plans to close its Sioux Center plant in northwest Iowa later this year. “Quick-to-Fix Foods” is one of Sioux Center’s largest employers with 200 workers. Company spokesperson Patti Becton says the company wants to expand its operation, but feels there aren’t enough workers available.Becton says the company also believes it would cost too much to upgrade the Sioux Center plant.The company will move the Sioux Center operations to its two other locations in Texas. Becton says the company will help the workers who’ll lose their jobs.Becton says the plant will close June 14th. She says the company plans to “mothball” the building until they decide what to do with the plant.
