The driver of a cement truck was killed late yesterday morning in Harrison County when his truck was struck by a train on Highway 30 northeast of Woodbine. 74-year old Wilfred Buter of Dunlap was driving a cement truck west on Highway 30 when he came to a railroad crossing area. He made a right-hand turn to cross over the tracks when his truck was struck along the passenger side by a southbound Union Pacific train. Buter was ejected from his truck. He was taken to Missouri Valley Hospital where he was pronounced dead. A Union Pacific Railroad employee who was in the cab of the train during the collision was also taken to the hospital for minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the Harrison County sheriff’s office and Union Pacific Railroad officials.
