Three people were killed in three separate accidents over the weekend in southeast Iowa. A 58-year-old Williamsburg man was killed after a head-on crash in Poweshiek County Sunday night. The driver of the other car, a 47-year-old woman who crossed the centerline, was hurt and charges are pending against her. A 61-year-old woman died in Monroe County near Albia Sunday when her car went into the front yard of a house there and hit a tree. And one man died in Jefferson County Saturday night when his car left the road on a curve, went into a ditch, hit a farm drive, and rolled end-over-end, throwing out the driver. Police say he might have survived if he’d been wearing a seatbelt.
