The seven men jailed as material witnesses in a drive-by shooting death in Davenport have all been charged with first-degree murder. That follows an intensive police investigation of the shooting death of 9-year-old Deanna Shipp of Madison, Wisconsin. She died July 21st when hit by one of the bullets fired from two cars into a crowd of people at an outdoor wedding celebration in central Davenport. Charged are 18-year-old Morris Brown, 16-year-old Merrill Howard, 19-year-old Jamail Jalloh, 21-year-old Montez Lewis, 27-year-old Gary Marshall, 21-year-old Demont Moore and 18-year-old Bryan Shuford. The seven are also charged with willful injury and terrorism with intent. Howard, the 16-year-old, will be tried as an adult.
