Davenport police investigate shooting

October 8, 2012 By Dar Danielson

Davenport police are investigating a shooting and possible abduction early this morning. Davenport police say 28-year-old Brittany Hamilton of Davenport walked into a truck stop at approximately 4 a.m. and told two Scott County deputies she had been shot.

Hamilton reported she was with a male friend, 37-year-old Brian Williams of Davenport, at the residence they share, and were taken to an undisclosed location. She told deputies the people who took them demanded money and then she was shot. The wound was not life-threatening and the suspects then left with Williams.

Williams was later found unharmed, walking in Davenport neighborhood. Police say they are still trying to sort out what happened and no arrests have been made.
