An accused killer from Davenport is in the Scott County Jail awaiting extradition to Illinois. Davenport Police arrested 52-year-old Jimmy Richardson yesterday. He faces first-degree murder, burglary and theft charges. Richardson was wanted in connection with the August second killing of his brother-in-law, Harold Collins, in his Coal Valley home. Authorities have been tight-lipped about Collins’ death or a motive. But a warrant said he was hit in the head with a blunt object. Police also won’t say how orwhere they found Richardson. Both Collins and Richardson worked together at a farm implement factory. Co-workers say police removed blood-stainedclothing from the plant during a search.
